The Art Director Series

 

This is a series of portraits of the folks whom, I believe, created some of the finest album covers and editorial work ever done. During my eighteen years in New York City I had the privilege of working with most of them on a regular basis. All of them are special to me and I will always be inspired by their vision. The series is far from complete and I will try to add more images as we find time to print them. Watch for Richie the Regulator.....

Of special note are John Berg, who was VP Head of Creative Services at CBS Records and Bob Defrin, who was VP Creative Services at Atlantic Records. They both shaped my career and my personal vision more than any other two people. I think of them both as mentors and very dear friends, whose personal vision, creativity and friendship I will always cherish.
